Here's how we're doing our part to support the environment:
We have a green classroom whose electrical energy is generated through solar power and windmills built and installed as a science project
We have adopted and care for Munyon Island and participate in regular beach cleanup campaigns
We recycle news papers and other paper products
We use scrap paper and/or the back of previously used paper for most of our written documents
We promote the use of electronic media through e-mails, Edline, Maritimes (electronic newsletter), and the website to communicate with students, parents, alumni and friends
We turn off or place in sleep mode all computers, printers and other equipment when not inuse
We reduce business travel for teachers and staff
We maintain school vehicles and equipment
We fix leaks and repair/replace damaged windows and doors
We attempt to develop and implement alternative energy sources
